How to take a comprehensive approach to stroke recovery (lifestyle, new effective substances, supplementation)?

In this article you will learn what to do in case of a stroke. What steps you should take to minimize the side effects of a stroke and return to full function faster.

We will comprehensively discuss the available management methods, both conventional and less conventional, to promote rapid recovery from stroke.

It happened, a stroke occurred - what to do?

In this situation there is no time to delay, we call the emergency room. Conventional medicine handles emergency cases very well, which is crucial in the first stage of intervention. Doctors are able to quickly stabilize the patient's condition and give him a chance to recover later.

Returning home - your own work after a stroke

When we return home, we quickly realize that our fitness is far from what it was before the stroke. Often we are given anticoagulants and information about the need for rehabilitation. This is where the doctors' support ends. The effectiveness of such a solution is quite limited. The body regenerates slowly, and additional methods are needed to speed up recovery.

We know how powerless a person becomes when faced with a stroke, and we realize how difficult the support and rehabilitation period is for people after a stroke. Therefore, before discussing what steps we should take, we want to pay special attention to the need to diagnose the causes, so that in the future we canyou to avoid another stroke and that our hard work is not in vain.

Causes of stroke - the key to prevention

To begin with, ask yourself: why did the stroke occur? There are many factors, but in our opinion a few are key. You should understand them and plan to implement habits that will prevent another stroke.

  • Chronic inflammation - are usually due to the wrong type of fats consumed. In short, trans fats should be avoided in the diet and care should be taken to ensure a proper ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids. Currently, we consume too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3. Oils such as sunflower, canola, palm and grape seed oils are responsible for this. The worst thing we can do is to fry food on them, as trans fats are then formed. Only fry with clarified butter or coconut oil, as these are stable fats. For everything else, use olive oil and add fish to your diet.
  • Disregulated sugar metabolism - Hypoglycemia or insulin resistance do not help. A great solution is either a balanced standard diet with plenty of exercise or a ketogenic diet.
  • Obesity - Nothing more needs to be explained here. If you want to lose weight and not feel hungry, it is worth reading about the ketogenic diet. After a strenuous period of adaptation, we will not crave sweet or sudden attacks of hunger, which is usually the reason for excessive caloric intake.

Back to nature - or how can nature help after a stroke?

As a result of a stroke, many brain cells are damaged and hypoxic, and neurotransmitters such as dopamine and acetylcholine do not function optimally, causing brain fog, concentration problems, numbness in the limbs and many other problems.

The body has the ability to regenerate itself, provided we stop damaging it and give it access to the right substances needed to regenerate damaged tissues.

  • Supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids - We suggest monthly supplementation with mega doses of omega-3 fatty acids, at least 15 capsules a day, spread over 3 times. This will quickly reduce inflammation in the brain and provide adequate building material. The brain is mostly composed of fat. After a month, it is advisable to switch to the standard dosage, usually 2 capsules a day.
  • Coenzyme Q10 - Supplementation with coenzyme Q10 will increase the work of mitochondria, which will consequently help oxygenate brain tissues and provide them with energy.
  • ADEK Vitamins - Use ADEK vitamins in oil for a month, so that the daily dose of vitamin D is 20,000 IU. After a month, reduce the dose to 10,000 IU.

The latest methods to support recovery - in other words, what isn't being talked about, but should be!

Semax - A brilliant peptide for improved health after stroke

In today's world of medicine, modern methods to promote recovery are becoming more and more common, but not all of them are getting the recognition they deserve. One fascinating discovery that is gaining popularity in the East is a peptide called Semax. It's an innovative solution that has gained recognition for its scientifically proven effect in reducing negative effects after a stroke.

Semax is a peptide that has become a focus of interest due to its ability to support regenerative processes in the brain after a stroke. Research conducted at Eastern universities and medical institutions confirms that Semax can play an important role in reducing neurological damage and supporting recovery from such events.

It is noteworthy that the efficacy of Semax has been proven from clinical trials, which demonstrates its therapeutic potential. The studies found that the most effective daily doses of Semax were 12 mg for patients with moderate strokes and 18 mg for patients with severe strokes. The course of treatment for both doses was 5 and 10 days, respectively. The peptide has shown the ability to improve cognitive function, reduce inflammation and stimulate repair processes in the brain. The effects of Semax have been described in detail on this page.

Emoxypine

Emoxypine is an effective and safe aid during strokes and chronic cerebral ischemia, often caused by high blood pressure. Taken orally 250 mg three times a day for two months, it significantly improves symptoms, with positive effects on emotions, thinking and coordination. Studies revealed that ischemic stroke patients who received emoxipine performed better on cognitive tests and motor function. Significant improvements were also seen in daily functioning and memory. Moreover, in the elderly, emoxipine effectively reduced disability and depressive symptoms, improving quality of life. These findings confirm the effectiveness of emoxypine in helping post-stroke patients. You can learn more about emoxipine here here

Alpha GPC - Building block for Acetylcholine to support cognition

In the context of the latest methods to support recovery, it is worth noting a choline compound called Alpha GPC. This fascinating ingredient is the building material for acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter responsible for a number of important cognitive processes such as thinking, concentration, memory and motor coordination.

Acetylcholine plays an important role in the transmission of signals between nerve cells, which affects the efficiency of brain function. In strokes and other neurological disorders, acetylcholine levels can be reduced, which in turn can affect cognitive function and overall mental health.

Alpha GPC, being a precursor of acetylcholine, can support the brain's regenerative processes after a stroke. By introducing this compound into therapy, the production of acetylcholine can be stimulated, which can help improve concentration, memory skills and other cognitive functions.

This substance deserves attention in the context of supporting mental health, especially after a stroke. Its role as a building block for acetylcholine makes it a valuable component of therapy to improve cognitive function and overall brain health.

Noopept - A peptide that stimulates neurotransmitters after stroke

In the context of the latest methods to support recovery, another fascinating discovery is a peptide called Noopept. This innovative chemical compound is gaining popularity for its ability to stimulate weakened neurotransmitters such as dopamine and acetylcholine, especially in post-stroke patients.

Research conducted in the field of neurology confirms that Noopept can play an important role in improving cognitive function by stimulating key neurotransmitters. This works particularly significantly after a stroke, where neurotransmitter disorders can affect thought processes, memory and overall cognitive performance. The standard daily dosage is 20 mg divided into two doses.

Noopept has also shown the ability to improve synaptic plasticity, meaning it can promote regenerative processes in the brain after stroke damage. For more detailed information on Noopept, including its composition, effects and study results, please visit here.
